At Wallenview College, Dr. Marge returned to her office from her meeting with Zach. The conference was part of a course on Living Dialog™. Zach was moving slowly from his texting mindset pre-disposition to dialog. He liked interaction with the small class. He often became impatient with members’ extended reflections but there were times when new thoughts bubbled up and he liked that. Dr. Marge helped him see the value of listening with empathy to understand what people meant.

In these conferences, Dr. Marge always discovers more about dialog. She was chosen to lead this course because she is known on campus to be a teacher who listens well and who knows how to get students to think and share their thinking. The course opens up five books of the Bible through questions for dialog. There are always students surprised not to get lectured in these classes. Dr. Marge focuses on the help found in biblical dialog to better understand ourselves, to relate better with others, and to strengthen our connection with God.

Letters from graduates who took this course keep Dr. Marge motivated. They find all kind of ways to apply their Living Dialog™ experiences to their adult lives. They want Dr. Marge to know that. As she sat down at her desk, her Bible was open in Jeremiah and these words jumped off the page. “When you seek me with all your heart, I will be found by you,” says the Lord. “That’s what its all about,” Dr. Marge said to herself.

Disclaimer: We do not know a Dr. Marge or a Wallenview College. This is a dream. The Scenario that follows is a path to make that dream come true.
